ANCESTRAL WHOLENESS RETREAT

Featuring Abuela Cristina

Maracame of the Wixárika (Huichol) tradition, Sierra Madre, Mexico

What this retreat is about

Une femme avec des tatouages, coiffée de boucles, portant une robe blanche avec une ceinture rouge, tient une fleur rose levée vers le ciel dans un environnement naturel, avec une structure géodésique en bois en arrière-plan.

This retreat is an invitation to receive ancestral knowledge and return to the roots of your own heart. Which is the place where clarity, purpose, and inner balance naturally arise. We offer a space created with intention, devotion, and profound respect for the ancestral traditions that have guided human beings for generations. Through fire, earth, water, silence, and embodied presence, you are supported to reconnect with the quiet inner sanctuary beneath the noise of everyday life. Not through force, performance, or dramatization, but through presence, the kind that helps you remember who you are and what you carry within.

Here, your process is honored with sincerity and integrity. The traditions shared come from real lineages and lived experience, carried with permission and responsibility by Frida Flores and Abuelita Cristina, maracame of the Wixárika traditions. We walk beside you as guides and space-holders, never imposing or directing your journey. Your own wisdom leads the way. Presence is the true medicine. And just as importantly, this is NOT a space for spiritual performance, forced catharsis, or new-age sensationalism. It is a grounded, respectful, and profoundly human environment, a place where clarity returns naturally, and where you can meet yourself whole-heartedly once again.

Held in integrity,

Rooted in living lineage

Featuring Grandmother Cristina, a 64-year-old traditionnal medicine woman, a maracame of the Wixárika tradition, born in the sacred lands of Jalisco in northern Mexico.    Her lineage comes from a community that has safeguarded, since time immemorial, the desert where the sacred cactus lives : Hikuri, known as peyote.

Frida Lopez, is a Mexican woman, devoted to the healing path and to the preservation of ancestral knowledge. Her path has been shaped by more than ten years of walking with native tribes and communities such as the Lakotas, Q’eros, Wixárikas, Huicholes, Shipibos, and Comcáac.

Your full potential is calling…

Ancestral Wholeness Retreat offers a rare pause from noise and overstimulation, inviting you into presence, simplicity, and inner coherence. Through fire, earth, water, silence, and movement, you are guided into deeper alignment with yourself. Every ceremony is held with sincerity, discipline, and profound respect for lineage. Frida and Abuela Cristina share their ancestral wisdom and traditions with integrity and humility. This is not spiritual tourism; it is an environment of authenticity, responsibility, and grounded guidance. At the center of this retreat is your own capacity to see clearly and to return to what is true within you.

Even when we’re committed to our well-being, there are moments when life feels too full, too fast, or slightly off-center. You might be moving through one of those moments now. Maybe you feel stretched between responsibilities, seeking clarity, or simply wanting space to breathe, reflect, and realign with what feels true and essential. These thresholds are often where the next chapter of growth begins.

What You Will Experience

Une jeune femme est immergée dans une grande cuve remplie d'eau et de fleurs, avec les yeux fermés, tandis qu'une autre jeune femme se tient derrière elle, dans un environnement verdoyant, semblant la bénir ou la purifier.

Over five days, you will journey through a deeply grounding and heart-opening process rooted in authentic ancestral traditions. From the sacred fire and cacao of the opening night, to the prayers of peyote with an experienced elder, the healing rituals of earth and clay, and the spacious integration time by the beach, each moment is designed to help you return to presence, clarity, and inner alignment.

Guided by Frida, Abuela Cristina, and Laurence, you will be held in integrity, respect, and profound care. We are united by our deep reverence to life and profound desire to protect, preserve and transmit ancestral knowledge. Our common intention is to offer you a transformative yet gentle path back to your essence and the life you are meant to live.

ABUELA

CRISTINA

Grandmother Cristina is a 64 year old medicine woman and maracame of the Wixárika people. A maracame is a traditional spiritual guide, healer and ceremonial singer entrusted with carrying the ancestral teachings of the (Huichol), who call themselves the Wixárika or “the healing people.” They are an Indigenous nation of the Sierra Madre mountains in western Mexico. For countless generations they have tended the land where Hikuri, the sacred cactus known as peyote, grows. Their people work with this medicine in ceremonial settings to pray, heal, sing and commune with the spirit world.

Born on the sacred lands of Jalisco, Abuelita Cristina was raised within this living tradition. Her role as a maracame carries the responsibility of safeguarding the ceremonies, songs, prayers and pilgrimages that sustain the spiritual legacy of her people. Her life has been dedicated to service: to healing, to the medicine and to the preservation of ancestral knowledge passed down through her lineage.

This retreat marks the first time she leaves Mexico, making her presence a true honor for participants. She is accompanied by Frida Flores, who has studied with her for many years. Together they are devoted to preserving and sharing this ancestral knowledge in a way that honors its roots with respect, coherence and responsibility. Their ceremonies and teachings are not performative or touristic, but an expression of a living tradition offered with sincerity, discipline and a deep love for the people and the land.

FRIDA FLORES

Frida is a Mexican woman devoted to the healing path and to the preservation of ancestral knowledge. For more than ten years she has walked and learned with Indigenous communities such as the Lakotas, Q'eros, Wixárikas, Huicholes, Shipibos and Comcáac. Through this time she has received their teachings and medicine, listened to the guidance of grandmothers and grandfathers who carry traditional wisdom and cultivated a deep relationship with Hikuri, the sacred peyote of the Wixárika Nation. For a decade she has joined the pilgrimage to their sacred lands, offering prayers, participating in ceremonies and learning the true meaning of service grounded in humility, discipline and devotion.

Her work honors clarity, healing and the reconnection of the heart. She brings the teachings she has received directly from the Earth and from her elders, sharing them with integrity and respect. During the retreat she accompanies Grandmother Cristina in the peyote ceremony and guides several traditional spaces including a Mexican cacao ceremony, a Mayan clay ceremony and a traditional herbal limpia. She holds the sacred fire, supports participants with prayer and song and offers practices that help bring calm, grounding and coherence.

Frida’s role is to create a safe and authentic environment where participants can reconnect with themselves, with the land and with the ancestral teachings that have been carried through generations. Throughout the retreat she also supports the integration process with Laurence, helping each person bring the wisdom received into their everyday life in a clear, grounded and accessible way.

These teachings have shaped the foundation of her spiritual path and continue to guide the way she walks in service.

During the retreat, Laurence acts as a bridge between the ceremonial space and the participants. She supports the group with presence, clarity, and grounded guidance. She helps create a safe field where each person can relax into the experience and navigate the ceremonies with confidence and respect. Laurence also facilitates integration, helping participants understand the teachings, the natural laws, and the subtle inner movements that arise during the retreat. Peyote is considered by the Wixaritari as a master spirit, a messenger that connects the heart with inner truth. It is a medicine of deep introspection, clarity, and presence. It opens understanding, cleanses the spirit, strengthens the heart, and reminds one of the path of prayer. In this tradition, Hikuri is a living being that teaches how to listen to silence, look within, and walk with humility. This ancestral medicine does not take you out of consciousness. It brings you deeper into yourself with a clear mind and an open heart.

Through the ceremonies guided by Grandmother Cristina, the fire, the songs, and the desert become a temple where the medicine works gently, lovingly, yet with a profound strength that touches the soul.
